Zimmer Biomet Holdings, Inc. v. Insall

Plaintiff filed an action in federal court asking the court to vacate an arbitration award after an arbitration panel found that the plaintiff improperly ceased making royalty payments after the individual who held the patent died. The plaintiff argued that enforcement of the contract would violate public policy. The district court rejected this argument and confirmed the award and the Seventh Circuit agreed and affirmed. (ST.
