Federal 7th Circuit Court
Civil Court
Bad Faith Sanctions
The attorney plaintiff appealed and challenged the district court’s decision to sanction him under Rule 11 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. The Seventh Circuit affirmed, finding that the district court did not abuse its discretion when it found that plaintiff’s legal claims were objectively frivolous, and the claims were brought in bad faith for the purpose of harassment.
