Illinois Appellate Court
Civil Court
Illinois School Code
The defendant school district appealed from a judgment of the circuit court granting a petition filed by the plaintiff challenging the board’s decision to expel him from school for one year for bringing a pellet gun to school. The appellate court reversed and affirmed the board’s decision, explaining that it disagreed with the circuit court’s conclusion that the board failed to comply with the requirements of the Illinois School Code.
