Illinois Appellate Court
Civil Court
Gender Violence Act
Plaintiff filed a lawsuit against the county state’s attorney and first state’s attorney, alleging violations of the Gender Violence Act and reckless supervision arising out of conduct by the first state’s attorney while plaintiff was a defendant in a criminal case. The circuit court granted the defendant’s motion to dismiss, and plaintiff appealed. The appellate court affirmed, finding that the allegations of the complaint were not sufficient to maintain either of plaintiff’s claims. (JORGENSEN and BIRKETT, concurring)
