Plaintiff sought administrative review of the temporary suspension of his medical license and appealed from the dismissal of his complaint for lack of subject matter jurisdiction. At issue in the appeal was whether the trial court erred in concluding that it lacked jurisdiction to review a temporary suspension of plaintiff’s medical license because the suspension was not a final administrative decision under the Administrative Review Law. The appellate court affirmed, finding that the temporary suspension was not a final administrative decision because it was not separate from the larger proceeding against the physician and that the language of the statute did not allow for parties to bifurcate the proceedings.
