Officer Luke Elmore, of the Village of Glen Ellyn, received a 2015 Law Enforcement Award from the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) and President Umberto S. Davi on October 26 during a ceremony at the Glen Ellyn Civic Center.

The ISBA’s Law Enforcement Award was created to recognize sworn law enforcement officers for conduct that promotes justice and to distinguish those individuals whose service to the public brings honor and respect to the entire criminal justice system. It recognizes those who excel in law enforcement.

Officer Elmore was acknowledged for advocating for victims, taking the time to educate the public and setting an example for his community. He is noted for his attention to detail and going beyond what is expected in the line of duty. Officer Elmore has served the Village of Glen Ellyn since 2004 and has been recognized by the Village for his service to the community on multiple occasions.

Officer Elmore was nominated by Zuzana Stepanek, attorney at Stepanek Law Offices.

“Officer Elmore approaches his job with dedication, enthusiasm, and professionalism,” said Stepanek.  “He strives to make his reports clear and concise and his attention to detail aids the detectives and attorneys that rely on his firsthand accounts. Officer Elmore honors the justice system by remaining fair and impartial.”
