CLE Programs for New Lawyers

The ISBA has many CLE programs of interest to new lawyers, including the exclusive Practice Ready series and the ISBA Basic Skills course. We offer a robust catalog of Free On-Demand CLE and new lawyers can also attend most  programs for only $25!

Groups and Participation

Young Lawyers Division

The ISBA Young Lawyers Division serves as a resource for young lawyers practicing in Illinois to develop, enhance, and foster a balanced professional life. It consists of all ISBA members under age 37 and members admitted to practice under 7 years.

Young Lawyer of the Year Award

Each spring the Young Lawyers Division recognizes two outstanding young lawyers – one practicing outside Cook County and one within.

Annual Lincoln Award Legal Writing Contest
