Legislation
The Section Council reviewed 60 bills that may affect their members’ practice area. Highlights of the most recent legislative session include:
- Senate Bill 3558 provides that the Transportation Benefits Program Act does not apply to any covered employee working in the construction industry who is covered by a bona fide collective bargaining agreement.
- House Bill 4660 is a mechanics lien notice bill supported by the ISBA.
- House Bill 4909 creates the Build Illinois Homes Tax Credit Act.
