Federal 7th Circuit Court
Civil Court
Employee Discrimination
Plaintiff, whose employment was terminated after taking a leave of absence, filed a lawsuit against his former employer alleging racial discrimination and defamation. The district court granted summary judgment on some of plaintiff’s claims and allowed others to go to the jury, which found in favor of the defendant. Plaintiff appealed alleging errors in certain pretrial, trial, and post-trial rulings. The Seventh Circuit affirmed the district court’s decision in full, finding no evidence of error.
