Implement Workers of America v. Rockford Powertrain, Inc., 350 F.3d 698 (7th Cir. 2003), in which the Seventh Circuit addressed whether a district court erred in granting summary judgment in favor of an employer on the issue of whether the employer was contractually obligated to maintain retirement benefits for the life of its retirees and their surviving spouses.
