ISBA High School Mock Trial Volunteer Form

The ISBA High School Mock Trial Invitational
March 15 - 16, 2025
Lincoln Land Community College Main Campus, Springfield, Illinois

Volunteer for the 2025 ISBA High School Mock Trial Invitational, which will be held on March 15 and 16, 2025 at the Lincoln Land Community College Main Campus, Springfield, Illinois!

The Invitational gives Illinois high school students a chance to learn what it is like to prepare and present a legal case before Illinois courts. Students gain an understanding of the justice system and improve their knowledge, skills, and ability to work as a team and articulate in a reasoned, thoughtful manner. Judges, lawyers, paralegals, law students and other legal professionals are needed to act as presiding judges, jurors/evaluators and bailiffs for each trial. You do not have to be a litigator to volunteer!

This year's Mock Trial Problem is a criminal case involving a high school student charged with possession of fentanyl with intent to deliver and aggravated battery after an overdose at a party. To volunteer, fill out the form below by March 7, 2025. You will receive more information about the program and your role closer to the event. We ask that volunteers arrive at least 20 minutes before their chosen time slots.

The case materials and other information are available on the ISBA High School Mock Trial webpage.

Please contact Kim Furr if you have any questions.
