ISBA Central Discussions
ISBA Central communities allows section members to pose questions, answer questions, and share information with fellow section members. Members of the section get free access to the section’s community. Joining any section also grants you access to the Transactional and Litigation communities. Legislation
The Section Council reviewed 110 bills that may affect their members’ practice area. Highlights of the most recent legislative session include:
- Senate Bill 3219 provides that the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity may provide grants for equipment upgrades for farmer-owned grocery stores or markets.
- House Bill 4155 creates the Agricultural Drought and Climate Resilience Office.
- House Bill 4857 provides funding and an income tax credit for distressed farmers.
