ISBA Central Discussions
ISBA Central communities allows section members to pose questions, answer questions, and share information with fellow section members. Members of the section get free access to the section’s community. Joining any section also grants you access to the Transactional and Litigation communities. Legislation
The Section Council reviewed 37 bills that may affect their members’ practice area. Highlights of the most recent legislative session include:
- Senate Bill 1501 amends the General Not For Profit Corporation Act of 1986 to provide that, in its annual report filed with the Secretary of State, a domestic or foreign corporation shall include the aggregated demographic information of its directors and officers, including race, ethnicity, gender, disability status, veteran status, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
- House Bill 5616 repeals the franchise tax.
