Chicago-area accounting firm Steinberg Advisors Ltd. has promoted Richard J. Salter, CPA, JD, LLM, to Shareholder.

Salter’s clients comprise start-ups to multi-national companies in manufacturing, distribution, graphic arts, real estate, professional services, and high net worth individuals.  He provides strategic tax planning, estate, and gift tax planning, succession planning, merger and acquisition deal structuring and due diligence for his clients, as well as business and individual tax compliance services.

“Clients engage me to achieve specific financial or tax objectives, and it is through a proactive and consultative approach to planning that we achieve these objectives.  Whatever the type or size of client, my approach is rooted in comprehensive knowledge of the goals, objectives and circumstances if the business and ownership,” said Rich when asked about his perspective on serving clients.

Salter has more than 30 years of combined experience in public accounting and private industry as CFO of a drug manufacturing company.  He has his bachelor’s degree in commerce from DePaul, his JD from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago Kent School of Law and his LLM from DePaul University College of Law. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois CPA Society, the American Bar Association, and Illinois State Bar Association.  He and his wife, Anne, live in Glenview, Illinois.
