it is a shame that in an organization of 32,000 plus members, only 3,790 voted. wait until the complaints come about the assembly or the board doing something that some folks object to. ask the objectors if they voted or urged others to.
Congratulations to Judge Russell Hartigan on his election to 3rd v.p. of the ISBA. l Judge HARTIGAN will make an excellent President of ISBA
--John and Mark W. DAMISCH
I second the congratulations that John Damisch wrote.
Gary is right about the low turnout. That happened in the last election as well almost to the exact numbers. We need to find out if the electronic notices are getting lost in the onslaught of e-mail that we receive daily and we need candidates. Often the Assembly has too few candidates for the number of representatives. But for today, let's celebrate with Russ Hartigan and thank David Sosin for a good campaign.
With respect to the comment about low voter turnout, I was lucky to have found ISBA's message and ballot among in my SPAM filter on the last day of voting. Just so someone knows . . .
TWO VERY DESERVING AND WORTHY CANDIDATES, JUDGE RUSSEL HARTIGAN AND DAVID SOSIN. NO MATTER WHO WOULD HAVE BEEN SUCCESFUL, THE ISBA WOULD HAVE BEEN A "WINNER".
RUSS HARTIGAN IS A GREAT LAWYER, JUDGE AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN A NICE GUY. I KNOW HE WILL HAVE A VERY POSITIVE IMPACT ON OUR BAR. CONGRATULATIONS RUSS. FRED LANE
