ISBA announces new Member Directory
Need to refer a potential client to someone? Can't remember the name of a member you met at an ISBA event? Want other members to be able to find you?
Use the new online Member Directory to find other members (and let other members find you.) Search by first/last name, city, county, zip, ISBA section membership, District, Circuit, practice area, and languages spoken. You can also add members to your contact list.
How It Works…
The name, title, company, city, and state of all ISBA members (except law students) will appear in the Member Directory search results by default, but members will have the option to include a profile at the click of a button.
Once you’ve activated your profile, other members will be able to see your information*, including:
- title
- company
- address
- phone
- practice areas
- practice setting
- date admitted
- law school
- current ISBA leadership roles
- articles you’ve written for the Illinois Bar Journal
- articles you’ve written for ISBA section newsletters
- ISBA section membership(s)
Make your profile even more robust by adding your picture, biography, links to your website and social media accounts (Twitter/Facebook/LinkedIn), Law Ed presentations, and any other languages you speak.
We also have options for you to use an alternate address, phone, and email for the directory if you wish.
Members who have activated their profiles will appear first in the search results.
If you have added any member to your contact list, your contact list will appear when you go to the Member Directory as the default results. If you haven't added any members to your contact list, you will see the 20 most recently activated profiles.
Don’t want to participate in the Member Directory? You can opt not to display any piece of information from your profile, deactivate your profile, or remove your name from the search results entirely at any time.
*Assuming we have that information; you can also update any of that information.
Activate Your Profile Today!
Go to the ISBA Member Directory. You can also access the Member Directory on the ISBA website by clicking on “Member Directory” under the “MEMBERSHIP” tab on the ISBA webpage.
Login and click the button at the top of the page that says "Activate Profile Now."
Click the link at the top of your account page that says "Review My Member Directory Profile Page" to see what your profile looks like to other members. If you want to add or change anything, you may do so by clicking on the appropriate edit button on your account page.
But wait, there's more! If you have activated your profile and you are a member of the Board of Governors or Assembly, or you are on a section council or committee, your name on the online roster will link to your profile. If you are an Illinois Bar Journal or section newsletter author, there will be a link from your article index to your profile.
Even Better on Your Mobile Device
