Motherway & Napleton LLP has added Brion W. Doherty as an associate.

Doherty's practice is focused on trials involving serious injury and wrongful death. He handles cases stemming from auto and truck accidents, medical malpractice, unsafe property conditions, civil rights violations, construction accidents, and dangerous products.

He has obtained numerous favorable jury verdicts and settlements for his clients over the years. Among those accomplishments, he helped obtain a verdict of $1.3 million verdict for a client seriously injured due to unsafe property conditions at a service station.

In addition to his legal work, Brion is active in several local and national lawyers' groups. He serves as on the Chicago Bar Foundation's Board, is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyer's Association, acts as the secretary for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services' Board of Directors, and is an active member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.

Brion has been named a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers every year from 2010 to 2015. He has been a regular columnist for the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, a prominent legal newspaper in Chicago, since 2012.

Brion obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 2001 and his legal degree from DePaul University College of Law in 2007.
