Since obtaining her law degree, Raveendran completed a fellowship in human rights litigation at DC-based International Rights Advocates and most recently practiced as a municipal prosecutor and general civil attorney with McHenry, Illinois firm Diamond & LeSueur, P.C.  She also served as a student attorney for International Human Rights Clinic; legal intern at Torture Abolition and Survivor Coalition International; and civil rights law clerk at the Council on American-Islamic Relations Chicago.

Bhavani Raveendran graduated from Case Western Reserve University with honors in political science. She graduated cum laude from American University-Washington College of Law, volunteering and advocating for human rights and civil rights during her tenure.  She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, National Lawyers’ Guild, and the American Bar Association. In her spare time, Ms. Raveendran enjoys volunteering with a variety of organizations in the Chicago area including Chinmaya Mission Chicago, the Preston Bradley House, Chicago Cares and Feed My Starving Children.
