The U.S. law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that Raylene DeWitte Grischow — a Springfield, Illinois-based attorney in the firm's Government Practice Group — has been appointed by Illinois Supreme Court Justice Rita Garman to serve as Vice-Chairperson of the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Professional Responsibility effective January 1, 2017. Grischow has been a member of the committee since 2012.
The committee advises and makes recommendations on matters relating to legal ethics and professional responsibility. She will succeed to the chairperson position on January 1, 2018.
Grischow represents public and private sector clients in employment litigation, the defense general liability claims, and municipal law matters. She practices before state and federal administrative tribunals, boards and commissions, including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Illinois Commerce Commission, the Illinois Department of Human Rights, and the Illinois Department of Labor and state licensing authorities.
Grischow received her J.D. (1998) from Washington University and her B.S. (1994) from Illinois State University.
