James Joseph Bertucci, born August 26th, 1943, passed away on December 26, 2017 at age 74. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Janet, his son James, his daughter-in-law Cary, and his two grandchildren Brenden and Avery. He was brother of Joan E. (the late Joseph) Zboravan and Mary R. "Mimi" (William C. Jr.) Aiston. Uncle of Kiernan (Erin) Aiston, Sean Aiston, Caitlin (Julien) Aiston-Valloton, James Zboravan and Jennifer Bearden. Brother-in-law of Jo-Ann Holmes. Born and raised in Lake Forest, Illinois, Jimmy was a Captain in the United States Air Force where he served a tour of duty in Vietnam from 1968-1969. Upon return, he enrolled in the Notre Dame School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctor in 1972. He was an Assistant State's Attorney in Lake County from 1972-1976. In 1976 he left the office and entered private practice with the firm of Semmelman and Lombardi which eventually became Semmelman and Bertucci. In 2000, he left the firm and opened his own practice. In 2007, he took his son James on and began the firm of Bertucci and Bertucci where he worked until his death. He was known as an honorable man and a respected trial attorney. He enjoyed spending time in Maine and with his family most of all.
