Peter Coblentz 1953-2018
Peter Coblentz, attorney for the village of Rosemont for the last eight years, died on June 23 with his wife Maureen by his side in their family home.
Coblentz was born on May 2, 1953, in Milwaukee, Wis., and grew up in Rockford, Ill. He earned his bachelor's degree from University of Illinois in 1975 and his law degree from Loyola University in 1978.
He cofounded, and was a partner at, the law firm of Rosenthal, Murphy, Coblentz & Donahue. While at law school, he met his wife, Maureen Mitchel. She asked him out in their second year, and they married after graduation in Wilmette, near Maureen's family home. They moved to Winnetka, where they have lived since 1980. They raised four children.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen; his four children, Emily Rose (Peter Rose), Margaret Coblentz (Geoffrey Miller), William Coblentz (Riley O'Hara), and Patrick Coblentz; and five grandchildren, William, Emma, Eleanor and Robert Rose and William Miller.
