Members of ISBA Board of Governors Attend Gala Celebrating Bicentennial of the Judicial Branch
Several leaders from the Illinois State Bar Association’s Board of Governors attended the Illinois Supreme Court Historic Preservation Commission’s gala commemorating the bicentennial of the judicial branch on Oct. 9 at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in Springfield.
The gala celebrated the 200th anniversary of justices serving on the Illinois Supreme Court bench. The first four justices were appointed by the Illinois General Assembly on October 19, 1818, in Illinois’ then-state capital of Kaskaskia.
