The Illinois Lawyers’ Assistance Program (LAP) swore in the organization’s incoming president, Justice Mary K. O’Brien, during the LAP Annual Dinner on Nov. 1.

Justice O’Brien has served on the LAP Board of Directors for three years, including serving as the Board of Directors Treasurer. She has served on the Third District Appellate since 2003, is a former state legislator, and is currently the chairman of the board at AMITA St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee.
