11/13/1959 - 1/13/2022 Leonard Karpowich, Jr. died peacefully in his sleep, following a long battle with cancer.

He was the beloved husband of Cathrine Bowersox Karpowich, father of Mary Cathrine Karpowich (Catie), Brother of Sue Karpowich Herrnreiter (Jim), Brother of Linda Karpowich Drozd (Sylvester). Uncle to Lauren Herrnreiter Chiero (Michael), Andrew Herrnreiter (Carly), Hannah Drozd and Aleksander Drozd. He is pre-deceased by his Father, Leonard Henry Karpowich Sr. and his Mother, Dolores Koziol Karpowich.

Len was born in Chicago and graduated from Weber High School. He earned his BS and Juris Doctorate from Depaul University. During he career he was VP & Counsel for Aon/Ace/Chubb Insurance Group, Director of Regulatory Affairs for United Health Group and later served as Senior Counsel for Kemper Life. He was happiest surrounded by Family and Friends, playing trumpet/French horn/piano (former member of the CYSO), and traveling. He will forever be in the hearts and minds of those who loved him.
