Richard P. Miller (formerly of Arlington Heights) passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on March 19, 2023.

He was born in Chicago to Joseph A. Miller and Marion H. Miller on August 30, 1941. Richard is survived by his wife, Patrice, of almost 52 years and his children, Rebecca Glenn (Brent), Susan Bachman (Kevin), and Ben Miller (Jessi). He was the proud grandpa of seven grandchildren.

Richard was an attorney in the area of trusts and estates for almost 40 years in Arlington Heights. He served as President of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association and as a member of the Illinois State Bar Association's Trusts & Estates Council. He was also a founding member and 1st president of the Northwest Suburban Estate Planning Council. Richard was also on the NCH Foundation Board serving a term as Vice President. Richard was active in Rotary and was a founding member of two Rotary Clubs, earning the distinction of Paul Harris Fellow.

He held a BA from Brown University and a JD from Chicago-Kent College of Law.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on April 22, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Presbyterian Church of Barrington.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers or other memorials to consider a donation to "Patrice's Team" for the Walk to End Alzheimer's.
