Illinois Supreme Court Appoints Corinne Heggie as At-Large Circuit Judge of Cook County
Chief Justice Mary Jane Theis and the Illinois Supreme Court have announced the appointment of Corinne Cantwell Heggie as an At-Large Cook County Circuit Judge.
Ms. Heggie was appointed to fill the At-Large vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Vincent M. Gaughan. The appointment is effective June 20, 2023, and will conclude December 2, 2024, following the November 2024 general election.
Ms. Heggie is currently a partner at Heggie Wochner Law Firm LLC and has over 20 years of civil litigation experience. She has worked in private practice since 2002 and her clients have included publicly traded companies, individuals, small business owners, families, elected public officials, and licensed professionals. She previously served as a partner with Hinshaw & Culbertson from 2008 to 2016.
Ms. Heggie earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and earned her Juris Doctor from the DePaul University College of Law.
Her professional affiliations include the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois, where she served as President from 2019-20, and the North Suburban Bar Association, who awarded her with their 2022 Service Award. She is a member of the Glenview Park District Foundation, the Glenview Junior Titan Board, and a past Glenbrook High School Foundation Trustee.
