A reception at the ISBA's Chicago Regional Office was held on August 22, 2024, honoring Sonni Choi Williams as the 148th president of the Illinois State Bar Association.

This reception was hosted by the Asian American Bar Association, the Korean American Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois, Clifford Law Offices, Simmons Hanly Conroy, and Tomasik Kotin Kasserman.
