The Chief Judge of the 7th Judicial Circuit, Judge Reit, is posting notice of one (1) vacancy which exists in the office of Public Defender of Greene County. This vacancy is for the Chief Public Defender position. Resumes are now being accepted fort his vacancy, which will be filled by majority vote of the Circuit Judges in the 7" Judicial Circuit, State of Illinois.

Any person seeking appointment as the Chief Public Defender of Greene County must be duly licensed as an attorney and counselor-at-law of the state of Illinois. The successful candidate must reside in Greene
county or become a resident of Greene County within six (6) months of hiring. Failure to become and/or maintain residency is summary grounds for dismissal. Please submit a cover letter and resume to the following person:
