Andrew Corkery Named IDC Volunteer of the Year

Andrew Corkery of Pitzer Snodgrass, P.C. was presented with the 2024 Illinois Defense Counsel Volunteer of the Year Award at the organization's Annual Meeting, held Friday, June 7, 2024.

IDC Executive Director Sandra Wulf remarked “Andrew has dedicated an incredible amount of time and energy to the association over the years, but particularly this last year. He has led the Civil Practice Committee, co-authored a Monograph, and helped to organize our 2023 Civil Practice Seminar. Andrew is truly a valued member of our organization. IDC is better for having him involved and engaged. Our sincere thanks for his work.”

Mr. Corkery commented, “I am honored to receive this award. IDC provides so much support to defense lawyers in Illinois, and I am happy I am able to contribute to the mission of the organization.”

Andrew Corkery is of counsel at Pitzer Snodgrass P.C. in St. Louis. His practice concentrates on defense of transportation and medical malpractice cases. He is a cum laude graduate of St. Louis University School of Law. He is Chair of the IDC Civil Practice Committee and serves as a member of the IDC Amicus committee.

The IDC was organized in 1964 and has 600 members. The mission of the Illinois Defense Counsel is to advance the interests of the defense bar by ensuring civil justice with integrity, civility, and professional competence.
