The fourth edition of the ISBA Solo & Small Firm Practice Institute was held on April 16 in East Peoria. The focus was Building Your Practice and Preparing for the Future. The next Institute will be held in Chicago on May 14.

The Illinois State Bar Association’s Law Student Committee hosted a free "Speed Networking Event" on April 15 at the ISBA Chicago Office. Current law students and distinguished ISBA members discussed several topics including networking, business development and landing your first job.

On April 6, the ISBA Young Lawyers Division, in conjunction with the John Marshall ADR Society, hosted a panel called "Career Paths in Alternative Dispute Resolution" at the law school. The event was comprised of renowned practitioners in the fields of arbitration and mediation. Marie Sarantakis moderated the discussion as panelists shared their professional experiences and provided practical insights to students wishing to pursue a career as a neutral.

Hinsdale Central High School placed first in the 33rd annual Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) High School Mock Trial Invitational held at the University of Illinois College of Law in Champaign March 14 and 15, 2015.St. Charles North High School came in second place, and third place went to Chicago Christian High School in Palos Heights. Evanston Township High School received the Donna Schechter Award for the highest team average on the Written Law Exam.
