Justice David K. Overstreet and the Illinois Supreme Court have announced the appointment of Patrick G. King as a Resident Circuit Judge in Madison County in the Third Judicial Circuit, Subcircuit Two.  Mr. King was appointed to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Stephen A. Stobbs on December 31, 2024. The appointment of Mr. King is effective February 21, 2025, and will conclude on December 7, 2026, following the November 2026 general election.
