Officer Michelle Wilgus of the Belvidere Police Department will receive the ISBA Law Enforcement Award from the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) on September 18 during a Belvidere City Council meeting.

Detective Carl Walker of the O’Fallon Police Department will receive the Law Enforcement Award from the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) on August 21 during an O’Fallon City Council meeting at City Hall.

Candidates for an associate judge vacancy in the 15th Judicial Circuit have been rated in an advisory poll of lawyers conducted by the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA). Results of this poll were provided to Chief Judge Daniel A. Hon. Russell W. Hartigan, of Western Springs, arbitrator, lawyer, and retired Cook County judge, will be installed as president of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) at the organization’s 141^st Annual Meeting on Friday, June 16 at The Abbey Resort in Fontana, Wis.

Dennis J. Orsey, of Granite City, a solo practitioner, has been elected third vice president of the Illinois State Bar Association. He will serve a one-year term in each of the three vice presidential offices and become president of the 32,000-member organization in June 2020.

CHICAGO, IL – The Illinois State Bar Association’s (ISBA) Academy of Illinois Lawyers inducted its twelfth class of Laureates during a Luncheon on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at The Standard Club, 320 S. Plymouth Court, in Chicago.

The March 30 induction began with a welcome reception at 11:15 a.m., followed by the luncheon at 12:00 p.m.

The 2017 Class of Laureates, who were recognized during a ceremony conducted by the chancellor of the Academy Board of Regents, bringing the total of distinguished Illinois attorneys to receive this honor to 111.
