The Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving, the leading national family law firm based in Chicago, has named matrimonial attorney Selwyn M. Skevin as their newest attorney. Skevin is experienced in all aspects of family law including emergency orders of protection, child support, and custody battles.

Skevin understands what it’s like to grow up without a father because as a young child, he lost his own father. He knows the challenges that children with fractured families may face throughout adolescence and the lasting impacts they have on them, which helps him in his practice as a divorce attorney.

Skevin earned his Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis on business from Arizona State University. He earned his Juris Doctor at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago.  He is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Before joining The Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving, Skevin practiced in different areas of family law, business law, personal injury, foreclosure defense, federal civil rights and tort law. He volunteered his time with the Chicago Legal Clinic's Chancery Advice Desk, Wills for Heroes, the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and others.
