Tiesenga brings more than 30 years of legal and business experience to his new role as village trustee, which will run through April 2019.

Oak Brook Corporate Law Attorney Edward N. Tiesenga obtained his J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law, and he graduated with a B.A. cum laude from Hope College in Michigan. He is admitted to practice law before the United States Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the State of Illinois.

Commenting on his election, Tiesenga noted, “We govern ourselves, by our free and equal choice of elected representatives. Each one of us can vote and contribute ideas to keep our public officials and employees accountable. I look forward to representing the residents of Oak Brook, and to working with individuals, community groups and homeowner associations to keep Oak Brook fiscally conservative, responsive to its residents, and open for business.”

Tiesenga concentrates his legal practice in corporate and commercial law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, where he serves as Vice-Chair of the ABA Senior Lawyers Division-Voice of Experience, and the Illinois State Bar Association, where he is a fellow of the Illinois Bar Foundation since 2007. Tiesenga is also a member of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the Union League Club of Chicago, and the Federalist Society (Member and Founder of American University Chapter, 1983).
