William J. Knapp, 58, of Edwardsville, died Thursday, Aug. 2. He was born June 20, 1960.

He was an attorney with Knapp, Ohl, & Green in Edwardsville. He was the son of Jane (Johnston) Knapp and the late Bill L. Knapp. 

Besides his mother, he is survived by one son, Benjamin Lomax Johnston Knapp of Chicago; two brothers, Charles B. (Kay) Knapp of Xenia and Paul A. (Linda) Knapp of Xenia; and one sister, Elizabeth A. (Rick) Forth of Xenia; a number of nieces and nephews; two grandchildren, Hailey and Jake Siepka of Tinley Park; and partner, Donna Hans of Edwardsville. 

William was a member and Seventy in the Community of Christ Church in East St. Louis.
