Nominating petitions are now being accepted online for the upcoming ISBA election.

In the spring, members of the ISBA will elect a third vice president (outside Cook County) and one seat each for the following Board of Governors seats: Area 1 (Circuit 18), Area 6 (Circuits 7, 8, and 9), and Area 8 (Circuits 3 and 20). There is also one Board of Governors seat in Cook County. There are 26 open seats for Cook County Assembly.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions on in-person gatherings, the collection and submission of signatures on nominating petitions will be conducted electronically for the 2020/2021 ISBA election.

The new web-based nominating petition system will allow ISBA members to see a list of candidates and give them the opportunity to “sign” all candidates’ nominating petitions for whom they are eligible to vote.  

The number of required nominating petition signatures for ISBA offices remains the same (350 for Third Vice President, 50 for Board of Governors, and 10 for Assembly). Nominating petitions will close on Monday, February 1, 2021.
