You’ve heard about “implicit bias” and “microagression.” What about “microinvalidations” and “microinsults”? The cover story for December’s Illinois Bar Journal wades into these sensitive terms based on interviews with Dana and Keith Cutler, cohosts of the television show, Couples Court With the Cutlers. 

The Cutlers will be presenting a free ISBA CLE live web program on Dec. 10 as part of the ISBA’s Midyear Meeting. In the program, “Rooting Out Racial Bias,” the Cutlers will expand upon the topics they discussed with the IBJ. Insights from Lea Gutierrez, chief diversity and inclusion officer with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, are also featured in the article.
