Elka Geller Nelson 1960 - 2022
Elka Geller Nelson, 61, of Porter Beach, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
Elka was a passionate humanitarian and social justice advocate who is survived by an extraordinary "team" of family and friends. She is dearly missed by her mother Barbara Geller, sisters Merle Geller Shein and Andrea Geller, brother Skip Shein, loving partner Chuck Feitshan, nieces and nephews Myah, Elana, Samara, Leora, James, Tom, Victor, Albi, and Averi. Elka was predeceased by her father Alvin Geller and husband Larry "Fuzz" Nelson.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The Greater Chicago Food Depository, your local food pantry, or charity of your choice.

I went to law school with Elks and she was a dear friend but we drifted apart and I was thinking of her and was shocked and saddened to find out that is gone. I do not know if any family etc are still looking at this site but I don't have to tell you that she was a wonderful person, an original thinker who was true to herself, did not get wound up in confirming and was non- judgmental. I remember Fuzz too, am he is gone but happy to know they were married. I'm so so sorry for your loss and that I lost contact with her. Loved the girl.
