ISBA Board of Governors – Vacancy in Underrepresented Seat
The ISBA Board of Governors will elect at its meeting on Thursday, June 8, 2023, a member to fill a vacancy in one of the Underrepresented Seats on the Board. It should be noted that there is one year remaining in the term of this seat and as such, the member who fills this seat is precluded from serving in an Underrepresented Seat in the future (see ISBA Bylaws Section 5.5).
Eligible candidates for the vacant Underrepresented Seat must meet the criteria for these seats. The selection criteria include, but are not limited to, age, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, geography, areas and types of practice, and years of practice. Any member who is interested in filling this vacancy should submit a statement of interest that is accompanied by biographical information including relevant ISBA service (no more than two pages). The statement of interest must be submitted no later than Thursday, June 1, 2023, to Kim Weaver at kweaver@isba.org. The ISBA’s Diversity Leadership Council will review submissions and make recommendations to the Board of Governors.
Candidates will be promptly informed of the outcome of the Board’s consideration.
