Robbins DiMonte, Ltd., a distinguished law firm with offices in downtown Chicago and Park Ridge, IL, deeply mourns the recent loss of Paul A. Greco.

Paul, a remarkable advocate for the people and an esteemed member of the legal community, passed away on June 15, 2023, after a valiant battle with a long-term illness. He was 53 years old.

Paul joined Robbins DiMonte, Ltd. (f/k/a DiMonte & Lizak, LLC) in November 1997. Throughout his illustrious career spanning 28 years, he provided unparalleled legal counsel in the areas of commercial litigation and real estate. His commitment to his clients was steadfast, dedicating countless hours to researching the law and honing his skills to deliver excellence in every case.

President Riccardo A. DiMonte said, “Paul started with the firm handling commercial litigation, construction law, trials, and arbitrations. Later in his career, he developed an expertise in commercial real estate. Doing both transactional work and litigation made him an excellent lawyer and a formidable opponent. Whether he was representing the client in a transaction or a dispute, Paul’s defining characteristic was his unwavering zealous but professional advocacy to achieve the client’s goals and serve the client’s best interest.”

He thoroughly enjoyed and was invigorated by the challenge of figuring out how to help his clients solve their problems; the greater the challenge, the greater was his enjoyment," reminisced Abe Brustein, a retired Shareholder of the firm.

Paul's professionalism was unmatched, and his colleagues and clients recognized his single-minded focus, meticulous attention-to-detail, and charismatic personality. While he excelled in the courtroom, it was his tireless work ethic and genuine care for his clients that truly distinguished him. Despite his dedication to his profession, Paul always prioritized his cherished wife and two sons, who will deeply miss him.

Paul earned his Juris Doctor from the Illinois Institute of Technology/Chicago Kent College of Law. He also earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.

The loss of Paul A. Greco leaves an immeasurable void in the legal community and within Robbins DiMonte, Ltd. His passion, brilliance, and steadfast commitment to justice will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of working alongside him or seeking his counsel.
