The Forms Committee of the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Access to Justice is seeking new committee members.  

The Forms Committee itself does not draft forms. It has overall responsibility for deciding what forms should be developed and creating subcommittees to develop them, reviewing forms to ensure that they comply with the mandate of the Supreme Court, and giving final approval for the forms to be published for use.

A good candidate for this committee is someone who is interested in access to justice issues, is willing to spend time learning the law of areas they may not know as it relates to the forms, understands the need to have forms that are in plain English so that they are easy to understand, and has five to eight hours per month to devote to the committee. Most time will be spent reviewing and commenting on draft forms and attending meetings. Meetings are by conference call, so no travel is normally required.
