The Illinois Department of Central Management Services is seeking a Deputy General Counsel of Personnel. 

The State of Illinois Central Management Services (CMS) is looking for a new Deputy General Counsel of Personnel to oversee a team of attorneys working on a wide variety of employment issues for the State. This position provides expert advice to both CMS and approximately 65 other agencies, boards, and commissions under the auspices of the Governor’s Office.

Key areas of focus include:

• EEOC/IDHR litigation
• Creating policies and procedures related to MLA, ADA, USERRA, ISERRA, and other State and federal employment laws
• USDOL/IDOL complaints
• Overseeing federal ADA policies and applications
• Managing EEO reporting requirements and investigations

The salary range is $120,000-135,000 per year. Flexible/hybrid hours are available and the position includes additional perks and extensive benefits.
