Panelists will provide a comprehensive review of medical and recreational cannabis legislation related to licensing, employment, and other pertinent topics.

The online program will be emceed by Carl Draper, chair of the ISBA Bar Elections Supervision Committee. The program allows for a 10-minute presentation from each candidate.

This online program will include a panel discussion about the role and benefits for GALs and the importance of cultural competency and diversity in representation of children in domestic relations cases.

The program will be held virtually March 12-14 via Zoom. It provides an opportunity for students to learn what it is like to prepare and present a legal case before the Illinois courts. Participating students gain a better understanding of the justice system and improve their knowledge, skills, and ability to articulate in a reasoned, thoughtful manner.
