The Illinois State Bar Association’s Lawyer Finder Service provides referrals to local lawyers Mondays through Fridays. The Service makes referrals in a number of areas of law. For the month of April, 2023, ISBA helped 768 people in need of legal services find lawyers.

Perry J. Browder has been elected Third Vice-President of the Illinois State Bar Association. Stephen Komie and Chloe G. Pedersen won the Cook County seats on the Board of Governors.

Both of the ISBA's offices will be closed on Friday, April 28 for all staff to attend a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Training Program. Normal operations will resume Monday, May 1.

Voting is now underway in the 2023 ISBA Election.
The only contested seats in the 2023 ISBA election are in the First Judicial District (Cook County) Board of Governors and Assembly races; therefore, only members in Cook County will receive ballots. Members' geographical designation is determined by their ISBA address.

The ISBA offices will be closed for the holidays from Friday, December 23, through Monday, January 2. The offices will reopen on Tuesday, January 3.
