Marc E. Fuchs, 67, of Springfield, IL, passed away on April 4, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. 

He was born on August 21, 1948, in Springfield, IL to Eldon and Darlene Fuchs. He married his wife, Cori, on September 15, 1973, in Joliet, IL. 

Marc graduated from Girard High School and from the University of Illinois with a BS in Finance in 1970 and a Juris Doctorate in 1973. Marc practiced law in Farmersville, Illinois from 1973 to 1990. In his second career, he was able to embrace his lifelong passion as a scholar of Abraham Lincoln. He worked and volunteered at the Lincoln Tomb and the Lincoln-Herndon Law Office Historic Sites for nearly 20 years. He was also a board member of the Lincoln Monument Association. 

Robert H. Liddle Jr. of Naperville, Illinois formerly of Buffalo, New York, beloved husband of Hope A. (Paolini) Liddle, devoted father of Marleah J. Liddle, Alexander R. Liddle, and Jenna M.T. Liddle, dear brother of A. DuAine (Bill Schierlitz) LoGrasso, Timothy (Shirley) Liddle, and Walter Liddle. Mr. Liddle was predeceased by his parents Robert H. Liddle Sr. and Stella (Salamone) Liddle, and his beloved "buddy" Allegro; dearest brother-in-law of Mary R. (Michael) Pachla, Joanne E. (A.Kem) Fronabarger, Francine (Martin Zyla) Paolini, Michael A. (late Michelle) Paolini, and Peter Paolini; cherished uncle of Jackie Gannon, Timothy Liddle Jr., Eric Liddle,Melissa Diamond, Jonathan J. Kacala, Zachary L. Paolini, Olivia R. Paolini; dear great uncle of Sage Gannon, and Avea Diamond; dear cousin of Leonard Salamone; many other cousins of the Liddle, Masso, and Paolini families and numerous colleagues and dear friends.

Illinois Appellate Court Justice Laura Cha-Yu Liu died Friday after a long battle with breast cancer at age 49.

The first Chinese-American woman to be elected judge in Illinois and the first Asian-American to serve on the Illinois Appellate Court; Liu was known for her work for equal access to the courts for non-English speakers, as well as her volunteer work and awards she garnered in the legal community, her family said in a statement.

She was born July 19, 1966, in downstate Carbondale, where her parents were foreign exchange students. She graduated from Youngstown State University and the University of Cincinnati College of Law.

Liu moved to Chicago after graduation to live with relatives, and worked for 19 years as a civil litigation attorney focused on health care and employment law.

Even after being diagnosed with cancer, she continued with her career and won the election to the Circuit Court of Cook County, becoming the first Chinese-American female judge in state history. She primarily worked in the Chancery division. The Illinois Supreme Court later appointed her to the Illinois Appellate Court, where she became the first Asian-American to serve on that court.

Liu is survived by her daughter Sophie, husband Michael Kasper, parents Yih-Wu and Becky Liu, sister Jessica, brother Eric, and her in-laws Dennis and Nancy Kasper.

Robert H. Jennetten, 71, of Peoria passed away at 4:36 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.

Bob was born on Jan. 13, 1945, in Belleville, Ill., to the late Peter and Marie (Wienstroer) Jennetten. He married Suzanne M. Clemens on June 8, 1968, in West Point, Iowa. She survives.

He is also survived by four sons, Peter (Jolie) Jennetten and Robert (Megan) Jennetten, both of Peoria, Joseph Jennetten of Nome, Alaska, and Nathaniel (Alexandra) Jennetten of Des Moines, Iowa; one daughter, Amy (Ali) Brown of Oak Park, Ill.; 13 grandchildren, Leo, Gustav, Hal, Abe, Adeline, Amelia, Henry, Jackson and Theodore Jennetten and Bella, Amor, Noble and Immanuel Brown; one brother, John (Judi) Jennetten of Edwardsville, Ill.; and one sister, Donna (Charles) Pruemer of Bruceville, Texas.
