The bar admission ceremony for the 1,342 new attorneys who passed the July 2022 Bar Exam will be held online on Thursday, November 17, at 1:30 p.m. Chief Justice Mary Jane Theis will preside over the ceremony and administer the oath to the new admittees. Justice Anne M. Burke will make the motion to admit the class and Justice Robert L. Carter will second the motion.

The Illinois State Bar Association’s Lawyer Finder Service provides referrals to local lawyers Mondays through Fridays. The Service makes referrals in a number of areas of law. On Friday, October 28, 2022, Illinois lawyers gathered at the ISBA Chicago Regional Office for the Family Law Toolkit Program. Topics included: how to calculate child support maintenance; the scope and limitations of 750 ILCS 5/513 regarding the education expenses of a non-minor child; the most common evidentiary issues faced by family law attorneys; & much more. Participants also enjoyed a networking reception after the CLE program concluded.
