Bob was born November 16, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois. His parents were Louis R. Gosdick – who was born in Russia and Cecelia S. (Klimek) Gosdick, whose parents were Polish immigrants. His parents moved to Rockford in 1935 where he graduated from St. Peter's grade school (1947); St. Thomas High School (1951). He continued his education and graduated from the University of Notre Dame (1955) and Northwestern University Law School (1958).

Schilling ("Dick"), 84, joined Jesus in heaven (on the third hole of God's golf course) on Sunday December 12 surrounded by his loving wife of 62 years, Eileen, his daughter and son in law, Sherry and Greg Harlan, his son and daughter in law, Rick and Jane Schilling, and his grandchildren (to which he is Boppa), Kayla and Andrew Harlan and Karissa and Alexandra Schilling.

Dr. Lajos Schmidt passed away peacefully in his home in Budapest on November 8, 2021, at the age of 101. He was born on April 23, 1920 in Budapest. A longtime resident of Evanston, IL, he was a prominent lawyer with Baker McKenzie from 1952 to 1993.

Robert Francis Nix, age 85, adored father and grandfather, passed away surrounded by family on December 14. Bob, a lawyer and former Cook County Circuit Court judge, was a longtime resident of Northbrook, IL, and part-time resident of Aspen, CO.

Cal Thelin, attorney and resident of Batavia, passed away Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, after Thanksgiving weekend spent with grandchildren and family. He was 92.

Paul A. Meints, of Bloomington, Illinois, passed away on December 6th. Paul was born in Quincy, Illinois to Arlene and Alvin Meints on May 11, 1947. He grew up in Golden, Illinois, and graduated from Central High School. Paul went on to study finance at Western Illinois University and earned his law degree from Valparaiso University. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1970 to 1971. Paul was proud of his military service and honored to be a veteran.
