Chief Judge Kathryn E. Creswell has announced that as of March 2, 2015, the 18th Judicial Circuit Court in DuPage County has dedicated Courtroom 3005 as a full time Pro Se (self-represented) courtroom for Domestic Relations matters. Judge Elizabeth Sexton will be presiding. The Pro Se Courtroom will focus on families of married or previously married couples. The Hon. Blanche Hill Fawell, Presiding Judge of Domestic Relations states "This program fits seamlessly with the Illinois Supreme Court mandate for access to justice for self-represented litigants."

Creswell is pleased to announce that following a Feb. 25, 2015 meeting of the Circuit Judges of the 18th Judicial Circuit Court, two finalists for the office of Associate Judge have been selected and certified to the Supreme Court. The finalists are seeking to fill the vacancy created by the elevation of Judge Paul M. Fullerton to Circuit Judge. From these names, the Circuit Judges will select one appointee by secret ballot.

The Illinois Bar Foundation will honor Christine M. Ory and Joseph Mirabella, Jr. with the Beacon of the Profession Award on Feb. 26 at the DuPage County Fellows Reception. This event will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. at Maggiano's Little Italy in Naperville.
General tickets to the reception are $55 a piece. Preferred tickets at $100 are available, and include special recognition during the formal program. Sponsorships are also available.

Michael J. Tardy, Director of the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, announced Friday that the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit judges voted to select Anne T. Hayes as an associate judge of the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit.
Ms. Hayes received her undergraduate degree in 1996 from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, and her Juris Doctor in 2004 from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. Ms. Hayes is currently affiliated with the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office in Wheaton, Illinois.

The Illinois Supreme Court has announced that the Hon. Paul M. Fullerton, Associate Judge of the 18th Circuit, has been appointed Circuit Judge at Large for the 18th Circuit, DuPage County.
This vacancy was created by the retirement of the Hon. Rodney Equi. It is effective Jan. 2, 2015 and terminates on Dec. 5, 2016.

Chief Judge John T. Elsner announced that the Court is accepting applications to fill a vacancy for the Office of Associate Judge of the 18th Judicial Circuit, DuPage County. This vacancy is the results of the elevation of Associate Judge Liam C. Brennan to Circuit Judge.
Judge Elsner added that applications to fill this vacancy will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Dec. 24, 2014. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, licensed to practice law in this state, and a resident of DuPage County. Two original applications, submitted on the prescribed application form, must be filed with:
